If you thought that paying someone to build you a site required a tonne of money, time and admin, think again.
I help small businesses by creating effective, well designed websites with expert written copy, quickly and for a lot less than you would expect.
Click any of them to view the full site.
Have a look at these live sites to see some examples. I wrote the words on all four.
Some people have a site that reads badly. Some have good words and no site. Most have neither. All of that is fine.
Designed, built, written and put live. The words come as part of it, because a website without words is just a shape.
For a site that already exists and looks fine, but does not explain what you actually do.
I take your logo, your colours and whatever is on your social accounts, and I make you an example site out of it. You don't gather anything up or fill in a brief, and it costs you nothing.
You see the example and tell me what you think. If it is not for you, that is the end of it and you owe me nothing.
If you like where it is going, you choose which option suits you and put down a deposit. Then I build the rest of it properly, with your input.
Not before. You settle up when the site is finished and you are pleased with it, and then I put it live on your own domain.
Written for your site, not a generic manual. How to change the wording, swap a photo, add or remove something, update your prices. Short, plain English, with pictures.
Here it is, in public. These are real prices, not a starting point I talk you up from. Tell me what you had in mind and I will tell you straight away what is realistic for it.
A reduced price for genuine one person businesses. Plumbers, sparks, gardeners, mobile hairdressers, anyone who is the whole company. One page, your trades, your area, your number, and a way for people to get hold of you.
Everything on a single page. Who you are, what you do, where to find you, how to get hold of you, and your pictures. For a lot of businesses this is genuinely all they need, and it is the cheapest thing I do.
Separate pages for your services, your work, your prices, your story. Worth it when you have more to say than fits comfortably in one scroll, or when you want people landing in different places.
Half up front once you have seen your draft, half when it is finished and you are happy. Then it goes live. The only thing you pay after that is the domain, about twelve pounds a year, and that goes to the registrar rather than to me.
A website nobody can find is a poster in a drawer. These are the jobs that get you turning up in searches and maps. Some people need all of it, plenty need none of it, and I will tell you honestly which you are.
The one most people want. Your Google Business Profile claimed and filled in properly, with the right hours, real photos and a link to your new site. Search Console set up so Google actually indexes you. Analytics installed, and a plain English summary of what it means. Plus the hidden markup that gets you the smart looking result in Google with your hours and reviews in it.
Swapping yourname@gmail.com for hello@yourbusiness.co.uk. It costs almost nothing to run and it changes how people read every message you send. Set up, tested, and working on your phone before I go.
A short link that opens your Google review page in one tap, so asking is easy. Plus QR codes sized for your window, your tables and your business cards, pointing at whatever you want people to see.
One tap and they are messaging you, no forms and no waiting. For a lot of businesses this gets used more than the phone number does.
Apple Maps and Bing have their own listings and most businesses have never touched either. Worth doing if a lot of your customers are on iPhones, which they are.
A privacy policy and cookie notice that match what your site actually does. Nobody enjoys this and everybody worries about it, so I will just do it.
None of this is compulsory and I would rather talk you out of what you don't need. If you only ever do one of them, claim your Google Business Profile. For most local businesses that single free listing brings in more than the website does.
That is not an upgrade and it is not an extra. Whatever you spend, you get a way to change your own wording, swap your photos and update your prices, plus a short pack showing you exactly how.
The difference is not whether you can edit it. It is how much machinery sits behind the editing. Somebody updating their prices twice a year needs nothing special. A kitchen rewriting the specials board every morning does, and that takes me longer to build.
I know how much time and money goes into running a business which is why I'm adaptable, easy to work with, efficient and cost effective.
Let me do the hard work for you.
Sam
Because you see an example before any money changes hands. I make it from your logo and your social accounts, we get on a call and I show you. If it is not for you then you owe me nothing.
Nothing to start with. I work from what is already public, your logo, your Instagram, whatever is on the listings sites. If you have better photos or specific wording you want used, send those over and I will use them instead.
No. Some people have a very clear idea, down to the colours and the wording, and I will work to that. Some would rather hand it over and see what I come back with. Both are fine.
Yes, always. Every site comes with a way to change your own wording, photos and prices, and a pack that shows you how. The only thing that costs extra is something more involved, like changing a full menu every day.
Only the domain, which is about twelve pounds a year and goes to the registrar rather than to me. Hosting for a site like yours is free. There is no retainer, no care plan and no monthly invoice from me. You pay once and that is genuinely it.
Completely. The domain is in your name on your own account and the site is yours. If you ever want to move it elsewhere, or get somebody else to look after it, you can, and I will help you do it rather than making it awkward.
Because I am quick and I liked the name. It isn't a contractual deadline. How long yours takes depends on how big it is and how fast you come back to me, but these are small sites and I don't hang about.
Tell me what you do and roughly what you had in mind to spend. I will make you something real before you pay a penny, and if you don't like it you keep it anyway.
Goes straight to my inbox. No newsletter, no follow up sequence, no passing your details to anyone.
